The WCHS Music Booster Club was established in 2019, but its momentum was stalled when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. At the start of a fresh new 2021 school year, they sought help with a website and were open to fresh new branding.
I volunteered and created the logo with the school’s mascot busting through the middle of a grand staff and musical notation flying off in all directions. The notation deliberately reads from left to right as going from flat to sharp. The total effect conveys kinetic energy and excitement. The fonts are “Collegiate Heavy Outline” and “Snell Roundhand Heavy” to combine the school’s style with a font that resembles dynamic markings on sheet music.
After my daughter finished her 4 years in high school band, I stepped down as webmaster for the music booster club. This is a screenshot of the website before I replaced the Victor Hugo quote with a message from the music teachers at the school and before I added spirit gear shopping.
