Even before I had a student at the middle school, I was asked by the PTSA to modernize the website, and I happily volunteered. I modernized the site and integrated an email newsletter subscription service. I stayed on as webmaster until my stage 4 metastatic lung cancer diagnosis.
Even though I had already handed off webmaster responsibilities to another parent volunteer, I updated the look once more. Website upgrades are fun!
After my youngest entered high school, 2 of my kids volunteered to share webmaster responsibilities again then handed it off once again.
